Cynthia Kane was an outstanding athlete during her years at Centennial College. Cynthia graduated in 1975 from the Recreation Leadership program, the same year she became the school's Female Athlete of the Year. 

During the 1974-75 season she was a member of the Centennial College's curling team and won gold in Women's Singles Tennis. 

As a member of the Centennial Badminton team she was instrumental in Centennial capturing the South Division Women's and Overall Team Championship finishing first in Women's Singles and second in Mixed Doubles. Cynthia advanced to the OCAA Championships to capture the gold medal in Women's Singles.
