Steve McLaughlin
Title: Athletic Director
Category: Builder
Induction: 2017

Steve McLaughlin began his role as the Athletics Manager at Centennial College in 2008. He made the move after a longstanding term at Fleming College in Lindsay. It was only a few short years after he began at Centennial that construction on the new Athletics & Wellness Centre began. This new project replaced the outdated DEL Gymnasium. Steve played a major part from conception to completion of the AWC and officially welcomed a new home for the Colts in 2011.

Steve McLaughlin had seen the creation of a new facility but had the vision to see OCAA volleyball played once again in the DEL gym. Steve sought out alumni and Colts hall of fame member, John Child, to become the volleyball coordinator for the program. Thanks to Steve's guidance the men's and women's volleyball team’s were welcomed back to Centennial in 2014-15 after a 20-year absence.

Steve has a long-standing history in college athletics and the OCAA. During his career at Centennial, he acted as the cross country convenor and acted as the men's volleyball convenor at Fleming. His expertise in sports administration and management have helped Centennial to become a competitive force once again. Steve McLaughlin retired in 2014 where he now enjoys relaxing on his boat with a nice cold beverage.
