SCABOROUGH - The Centennial Colts men’s volleyball team will match up with the Georgian Grizzlies for its home opener at the Athletic & Wellness Centre on Wednesday.
Head coach Adriana Bento will lead the Colts (0-1) into their second match of the season. Last Friday, the team fell 3-1 at the hands of the Fleming Knights.
The Grizzlies (1-0) came away victorious from their season-opening match, beating the George Brown Huskies 3-1. Georgian finished the 2022 season in second place in the OCAA’s east division with a 7-1 record.
Centennial is looking to improve upon its 2022 season, which saw the Colts go 2-6 and finish in seventh place in the east. The Grizzlies won the teams’ matchup 3-0 last season.
The Colts have a chance to get off on the right foot with two matches this week against east division opponents, as the Seneca Sting are scheduled to visit the AWC on Sunday.
