Lancers Upset Colts in Stunning 3-0 Victory
The Lancers competed a electric 3-0 sweep to upset the Centennial Colts in their first game back after the winter break.
The Loyalist Lancers men's volleyball team made a statement in their first game back after the winter break, sweeping the top-ranked Centennial Colts in straight sets (25-21, 25-19, 25-18). The Colts entered the match with a 10-1 record and sat atop the OCAA East Division, making the Lancers' victory a major upset. Loyalist improves to 6-6 on the season with the win.
Liam Hill continued to shine for the Lancers, leading the offense with 10 kills, 2 aces, and a block. Making his season debut, Liam Callahan provided an immediate spark, combining with Kian Titus for 10 points from the left side.
First-year setter Tobi Archibald was instrumental in orchestrating a dynamic offense that kept the Colts off-balance all night. Archibald not only distributed the ball effectively but also contributed 3 kills and 2 aces to the Lancers' dominant performance.
The Lancers will look to carry this momentum into their next match as they return home to face the Georgian Grizzlies on Saturday, January 11th, at 3 PM.
