Men's Volleyball Control the Court, Sweep Centennial in Straight Sets
BARRIE, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies delivered a commanding performance on their home court, sweeping Centennial in straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-20. Leading the offensive charge, Kaleb Cole (Stratford, ON) achieved 11 kills on 22 attempts, resulting in a .318 hitting percentage, and added two service aces, totaling 14 points. Gage McCurdy (Burlington, ON) also made a significant impact with nine kills on 17 attempts (.294 hitting percentage) and contributed one service ace, accumulating 10 points. Setter Ethan Eiselt-Rolfe (Barrie, ON) efficiently directed the offense with 32 assists and bolstered the defense with six digs.
Defensively, the Grizzlies were formidable, limiting Centennial's offensive efforts and excelling at the net. Josiah Grimm (Orangeville, ON) led the defensive front with four blocks and added two service aces. Ryan Vriezema (Midhurst, ON) contributed 10 kills and five digs, showcasing his versatility on the court. The team's collective hitting percentage of .286 underscored their offensive efficiency and control throughout the match.
