BARRIE, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies faced a tough challenge at home, falling in straight sets to the Centennial Colts (16-25, 22-25, 18-25). Despite the loss, the Grizzlies showed flashes of strong individual performances. Patrycja Sajda (Scarborough, ON) led the offensive effort with six kills on 21 attempts, finishing with seven total points. Emma Kot (Weyburn, SK) contributed five kills and three service aces for a team-high eight points. Setter Mackenzie Roy (Edmonton, AB) orchestrated the offense with 16 assists while also proving crucial on defense, tying libero Monika Kochanowski (Windsor, ON) for a team-best nine digs.
Defensively, the Grizzlies showed resilience at the net, recording five solo blocks. Brooklyn Smith (Barrie, ON) and Kochanowski each notched a solo block, while Neveah Garcia (Barrie, ON) added two service aces.
