Colts riding high with a talented recruit class

The Centennial Colts are delighted to announce and welcome the 2023-2024 recruiting class for women's Soccer. This crop of student-athletes is Head Coach Rich Hirst's largest recruiting class since coming on as Head Coach in 2020, with 13 rookies joining the team from across Southern Ontario.

The varsity team from Athletics and Recreation welcomed the new class to the Athletic and Wellness Centre for their official welcome and introduction to the program. It was a great afternoon, where the players had an opportunity to connect with each other and their families and meet and chat with the Varsity team who will be assisting all of them with their journey at Centennial.

Speaking with Coach Rich, he shared some thoughts about his new players.

"It's a big task bringing in 13 student-athletes, but I am thrilled with the talent we've been able to attract to our program. Athletics and education go hand in hand, and providing our athletes with a safe and inclusive environment that will help them thrive on and off the field has always been a priority of mine as a Coach." He Continues, "I have high expectations for this team; when building our roster, we wanted players with strong character, talent and a desire to be great, but most importantly, they believed in our culture and our goals. I know that's what we've got with this class, and I can't wait to get started."
