Colts Climb Standings, Pulverizing Panthers

North Bay, ON - The Centennial Men's Volleyball team added another win to the record and returned to its winning ways after defeating the Canadore Panthers in four sets. They had an overall regular performance, and they controlled most of the game with a very effective right-side attack.

The Colts' performance was fairly positive, and they were able to keep control of the game for most of the time. They started the first set down five points up until the 22nd point. With an impressive service run by Pedro Casellatto, the Colts fought back six points in a row and closed the first set at the 27th point. At that time, their game clicked, and their performance increased exponentially. The second set reflected the momentum they gained in the first set. With many successful attempts, Gianluca Righetto led the Colts to a comfortable win in the second set.

The third set was marked by a reaction on the Panthers' side, and with a comfortable lead that lasted until the end of the set, they were trying to find a way to get back in the game. However, the Colts responded aggressively in the fourth set, and with an effective defensive system and aggressive attacks, they closed the game with an eight-point lead. Gianluca Righetto was the scoring leader, with 19 kills and 23 points.

The Colts showed a consistent performance. Although they lacked a little bit of enthusiasm, they did not let the game get out of control. They will be looking to add to an impressive start against the Durham Lords next Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in Oshawa.
