This year, the Centennial Colts Indoor Women's Soccer team had an amazing run in the indoor Soccer Provincial championship. They qualified after going 4-0 in qualifiers back on Monday, February 26. This record clinched them a spot in the OCAA provincial championship.

Centennial was put into a group with Fanshawe, Seneca and Humber.

Their first game was against Fanshawe. Centennial showed exactly how they went 4-0 in qualifiers by dismantling Fanshawe 4-0 in an easy first game.

Centennial matched up with Seneca in their second game, Which was a close affair. Last season, Seneca went home with silver, and Centennial took home bronze. Since both teams won their first games, the winner of this match would clinch a spot in the knockouts, so you know this game would be good. After a lot of offence from both teams, the game ended 1-0 for Seneca.

The Colts last group stage game was against Humber. Both teams were pushing for the win and were putting each other under much pressure. Humber struck first midway through the first half. Centennial climbed back into this game to tie it with less than half of the second half left to be played. This game ended in a 1-1 draw. This result was enough to see the Colts move on to the knockout rounds.

The knockout rounds only consist of four teams. Centennial matched up with Durham with a spot in the finals on the line. Centennial were looking to make their first finals since they last won this tournament, which was back in 2005-06. This game was an amazing game to watch, both teams knew what was on the line. After 40 gruelling minutes, the final score was 2-1 for Centennial, they booked their ticket to the finals.

The final game was Centennial versus Seneca. These two teams had already played each other the day prior in the group phase. That game ended 1-0 Seneca. Both teams knew that they were 40 minutes away from potentially being crowned champions. Centennial last won back in 2006, but for Seneca, they last won in 2021-22. This was a back-and-forth game, but ended up going Seneca's way. The final score was 3-1 Seneca as they won the Championship for the second time in three years.

Coach Rich Hirst had the following to say about the indoor season: "The colour change in indoor provincial medals from last year to this year, displays the growth in our team and contributes to the overall confidence as we continue to build. The most valuable measurement of our growth was from our team's more consistent performance levels throughout the competition.

Our expectation is continued development of our student-athletes and team and that in 2024-2025 we will be competing again at a high level."
