The women's soccer team comes out fresh and ready for the season opener at George Brown. With numerous new faces and experienced returning athletes, the Colts have the chance to maintain a winning streak after a successful 2022-2023 season. The energy within the team seems very positive, and look to be working well together, despite dealing with rising challenges and adversities they faced at the beginning.

The impressive number of 11 new recruits is another factor that increases the expectations of fans. Head coach Rich Hirst's ability to recruit gave the Colts a new look, hoping to take another step toward a medal and a successful season. It will be interesting to see the first-year player's performances as some of them will have the opportunity to play important roles on the team.

Captain of the Colts, Emily Cullen, stated that the vital factor to succeed in this game will be the aggressive mentality. According to Emily, they need to come out hot and challenge the opponents throughout the whole game. It will not only help with the strategy but also put the experienced players and the new recruits on the same page, working toward the same goals.
