Colts look to Tarnish Golden Shield

By: Pedro Cassellatto

The ball rolls again for the Centennial Women's Soccer team. After a draw in their first game, the Colts continue on the road for their next regular season game against Cambrian Golden Shield. The Colts are looking to get even after falling to the Golden Shield in the 22/23 last home game, which adds some extra incentives for them to win this match.

The Colts showed cohesiveness in their first game and will look to continue their strong team play. Colts' captain, Emily Cullen, was satisfied with the team's form. However, to succeed against the Golden Shield, the attack must be more effective and take better advantage of the opportunities. "We did well in the first game, but we understand that there were many opportunities that we didn't take advantage of. We have worked on that, and this will be a much different game."

Cambrian is coming off two tightly contested games, winning both by one goal. They're a solid team that will challenge the Colts offensively and defensively.

We look forward to seeing the Colts play the Golden Shield this weekend in a very exciting game. We also hope they bring good energy and momentum for the home opener the following week.
