Windsor, ON - The Centennial Colts battled but were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the St. Clair Saints. The Centennial Women's Soccer team had its last game of the season after falling to the St. Clair Saints in a one-goal game in Windsor. They were not able to convert the opportunities and bring the victory home.

The first half was marked by both teams bringing danger to each other's boxes. Around halfway through the first 45 minutes, after a moment of poor communication on the Colts' side, Karlee Tinline netted the first one for the Saints. The Colts had a good first half overall but could not capitalize on the opportunities they created.

The second half was a little slower-paced, but Centennial still showed superiority in both possession and attempts. The Saints keeper, Scotlyn Fick, saved the home team a few times throughout the second half of the game. At every opportunity, the Saints loaded up their defensive system to prevent the Colts from scoring the equalizer. Although the effort was visible, the Colts could not find any space through the Saints' defence and could not take the match to overtime.

After a consistent performance but not being able to finish, the Colts were eliminated in the quarterfinals. Despite the result, the effort and energy to get through the challenges and adversities were clearly notable. The fans appreciate the effort and the mark this 2023 Centennial Women's Soccer Team has left is a story that is still in its very beginning.
