Colts Avenge Loss to Grizzlies

Barrie, ON - The Centennial Women's Volleyball team had their best performance of the year so far and defeated the Georgian Grizzlies in three sets on Georgian's home soil. With a deadly attacking system and a very consistent distribution, they got their revenge after losing the first game.

The Grizzlies showed a lot of passion in defence, but they could not hold off the pressure that the Colts applied throughout the game. It all started back on the service line; With aggressive service, they managed to put the Grizzlies out of system, causing chaos for the opposing team. The right-side hitter, Natalie McLachlan, played a big role in the Colts' offence, leading the team with 10 kills.

The first and second set were fairly balanced, but with a few mistakes on the Grizzlies side, the Colts were able to pull ahead and open a two-set lead. They came into the third set with just as much intensity, and despite their hard work, the Grizzlies were not able to keep up. With the momentum on their side, they closed the third set with a nine-point lead, securing their third consecutive win.

The Colts will be looking to increase their streak in this Saturday's road trip to North Bay, where they will be taking on the Canadore Panthers. With the momentum on their side, they will be looking to take a bigger hold on fourth spot in their division.
