Game 1 vs Fanshawe

The Centennial Colts Men's Soccer team started their group stage games against the two-time, defending gold medalists Fanshawe Falcons.

The Colts went 2-2 last week in qualifiers but made the cut because they clinched a wild card spot.

The Colts go down early after a broken corner kick. Six minutes into the first half, Fanshawe made it 2-0.

The Colts were trailing at halftime 2-0, with no real meaningful attacks in the first 20 minutes.

Centennial began to press high up the field with 11 minutes left in the second half in hopes of getting themselves back into the game, but Fanshawe put a stop to that quickly by scoring again to make it 3-0.Fanshawe adds another marker late.

Colts fall in game one 4-0.

Game 2 vs Conestoga

The Colts Men's soccer team faced off with Conestoga in their second match of the group phase.

The Colts were playing hard-nosed defence the entire game. Centennial were making it very hard for Conestoga to get through and get good attacks off.

The first half ended 0-0, which was a win in the books for the Colts. With the second half underway, Centennial continued their good run of defence.

Centennial got on a brake and put the ball away for the game's first goal. The crowd erupted with cheers as the Colts took the lead.

Conestoga decided to sub their goalie out and put an attacking player in net to try and gain the advantage. It worked, as it wasn't long before they tied the game at one. With only 10 seconds left on the clock, Conestoga was awarded a penalty, and they converted it to win the game 2-1.

Centennial will play their last game purely out of pride.

Game 3 vs Seneca

The Colts matched up with Seneca for their final game in the group stage. With Centennial not being able to qualify for the knockout stage, they still wanted to win at least one game.

They fought hard but went down early to a Seneca strike. Before the half had ended Seneca had doubled their lead to make it 2-0.

Centennial was chasing the game the entire second half but ultimately fell short and wasn't able to find the back of the net.

The Colts lost this one 2-0 and sadly didn't make it out of their tough group.

An amazing indoor season for the new look Men's Soccer team. Many building blocks and steps to taking this program even farther in years to come.
