SCARBOROUGH, ONT. – The Colts (4-2-1) clinched their playoff berth last Saturday, September 29th.

Despite the festive atmosphere of the tailgate party preceding the match, the Colts handled business on the field. They had a convincing 3-0 victory over the St. Lawrence Vikings, outshooting them 25-9.

In the first half, the Colts had six shots on goal. On a corner kick in the 32nd minute, Chrystiann Morim Domeles passed the ball to Rashad Grant who nailed a bicycle kick into the bottom right corner.

In the second half, Liam Cox continued to display his scoring prowess. He had two goals this game, bringing his season total to seven. For him, this was a repeat of a game two weekends ago, where he scored two goals against the Vikings on their home turf.   

In the 60th minute, Cox scored his first goal, assisted by Grant. Desperately seeking an answer to Centennial's two goals, the Vikings fired five consecutive shots but could not find the net. The Vikings had three shots on goal in the second half. 

The highlight of the afternoon came when Terrell Roberts placed the ball beautifully at Cox's feet. Cox faked the goalie out, dribbled past the opposing help defender, and nailed the ball into the empty net. 

Rookie midfielder Joel Dundas, who has two goals this season, also displayed his offensive potential; he had great bursts to the ball, having five shots this game. 

Ostap Hamarnyk was absent this game due to rest. 

"When he's not there, we're in trouble at the back. We missed him," Julian Carr, Colts Head Coach said, looking forward to having Hamarnyk against two tough upcoming games against Seneca and Durham College. 

Despite the playoff berth, Carr remains humble. He wants to take each of the three remaining regular season games one at a time, and anticipates a tough playoff matchup on the horizon.
