Colts Get the Win in the First Road Trip

North York, ON - The Centennial Men's Volleyball team started a winning streak last night after defeating the Seneca Sting in a 4-set game. The Colts had a positive performance and could stop many of the Sting's attempts. Even when they were behind on the scoreboard, they were able to keep up and outplay the opponent at the end of the three sets they won.

Performance-wise, the Colts struggled on their side-out, which was the biggest challenge throughout the game. They needed to adapt to that and compensate with their defensive system, which worked well in the last two sets of the game. Knowing they did not have the greatest performance, the Colts were doing just enough to keep up with the energetic Seneca Sting. Coming from the bench in the third set, the right-side hitter, Nikolas Moser, made the difference in the Colts' attack, giving the Colts more safety to run their offence.

The aggressiveness by both teams marked the final set of the game. Both setters were running a really fast offence, relying on their outside hitters for most of the opportunities. With the game tied until the 26th point, the stacked Colts' block was very well positioned, forcing the error of the Sting's player, giving the Colts their second win of the season.

This game was a great test of patience for the Colts, they did not stop believing and were able to perform well even when they were behind. The Colts will be back on the road next Wednesday when they ride to Peterborough to take on the Fleming Phoenix.
