Colts Challenge Dynasty

The Centennial Colts Men's Volleyball team is looking to punch their ticket into the OCAA finals with a win over three-time running champion Humber College. The last time the Colts were in the OCAA finals for Men's Volleyball was over 30 years ago, back in 1987-88, when they beat Loyalist to win their first and only OCAA championship.

Centennial has made it to the final four by beating Mohawk Collage three sets to one in the play-in round and then beating St.Clair in a five-set nail bitter.

Now, Centennial has the biggest challenge of their entire season yet, they play the three-time in a row champion Humber College. This should be an intriguing matchup as the teams have yet to face each other this season.  The game will be played on Friday, February 23, at 5:00 PM at Fanshawe College in London.

The East division scoring champion Gianluca Reghetto will be looking to have another big game to help the Colts make their first final in quite some time. Last game against St.Clair, Gianluca had 13 kills, one ace and 18 points throughout his five played sets. Humber made quick work of their quarterfinal matchup, taking it three sets to none against Conestoga. Centennial will need to look out for Humbers Maximum Crowder, who had 11 kills in 15 total attempts and 15 points.

The winner of this matchup will play whoever moves on between Cambrian and Fanshawe.
