Colts Fall Late to Lancers

Belleville, ON - The Centennial Women's Basketball team came up just a bit short in Wednesday night's matchup against Loyalist, which ended 79-71 Lancers.

Although it wasn't the result anyone would have wanted, the team had a good game overall. The Colts went 7 for 22 from the 3-point line, which kept them in this game until late in the fourth quarter.

Centennial fell behind in the fourth being outscored 25-16. The turnovers were an issue all night for both teams. The Colts turned the ball over 34 times in total which would inevitability kill their chances of winning. Tara Dowrich had a good game against the Lancers last night racking up a double-double. This included 10 points and 12 rebounds, 4 of them being offensive.

The Colts' next game is away against Georgian on Friday, January 12. Centennial will try and hand them their second loss of the season. The last time these two teams faced off was the very first game of the season back in October. That game ended with Georgian coming out victorious 91-52.
