Colts, Lords Battle in Oshawa

By: Pedro Casellatto

After a heartbreaking loss against the Canadore Panthers last weekend, the Centennial Women's Volleyball team is back in action for another away game. This Thursday, they ride to Oshawa, where they face the strong Durham Lords, currently placed second.

The Colts have shown positive performances so far but were not able to demonstrate consistency regarding results. They are currently placed fifth with a record of 5-3, and they now have a tough task to face that no other team has accomplished so far, which is overplaying the Lords on their home soil. Kaiyra De La Ronde, Colts outside hitter, is ready for the challenge. "We have been working hard this week, and it will be a good game, but our goal is to hand them their first loss at home," said Kaiyra.

Hosting this match, the Lords are used to being challenged. Over the last few seasons, they got a perfect record a few times, and are the current co-leaders of the OCAA. They surprisingly already had a loss this season to the Loyalist Lancers, but they have bounced back effectively and have a streak of two wins now.

We hope the Colts can leave behind the last result and focus on this new challenge. They have been working hard and will push themselves to get back in the winning streak that was interrupted last game.

Game time from Oshawa is 6PM
