Colts Ride South Looking to Stay Perfect

Colts Ride South Looking to Stay Perfect

The Centennial Colts head South to Sarnia on Friday night to do battle against the undefeated Lambton Lions. Following two shutouts last Sunday against the Sault College Cougars, the 3-0 Colts will shift their focus to the improved Lambton Lions, currently sitting at 2-0.

The Colts' pitching staff has gotten off to a hot start, firing a combined no-hitter and a perfect game on Saturday. Going up against a Lambton lineup that has put up 25 runs in 2 games will "be a good challenge", says Pitching Coach Patrick Orr.

He attributes the early success of his staff to "getting ahead of hitters, attacking the zone and limiting the walks."

The first pitch of game 1 of the doubleheader flies at 5:30 PM between the Colts and the Lions, with game 2 following shortly after the completion of game 1.
