By: Pedro Casellatto

The Centennial Men's Volleyball Team started the season with the right foot. In a 4-set win against the George Brown Huskies, they were able to put five players in the top five individual statistics, showing a lot of efficiency in their game. They are heading to North York to face the Seneca Sting this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.

In addition to the first regular-season game, the Colts are coming from a consistent preseason that gave them a lot of rhythm. The Colts are counting on the experience of known names like the outside hitter, Lio Salazar, and the libero, Zachary Orat, added to the fresh talent of the rookies Pablo Alvarez and Michael Matsuto. The team has been working well together, and they are excited about the season. The Colts' captain and second-year player, Lionnis Salazar, mentioned that this team is promising. "We are working hard every day, every minute counts. [...] We have a long season ahead and ambitious goals," said Salazar.

The opponent, the Seneca Sting, had a positive preseason as well; however, they are coming off a loss in their first game of the season against the Canadore Panthers. Counting on many experienced players as well, they will be looking to get momentum going for the season as they will be looking to fight to be in the top four.

Tune in to support the Colts in their first away game of the season. The hopes are high to see how they will perform in this match as well as in the rest of the season.
