Colts Search for Homecoming Rebound

The Centennial Men's volleyball team will play at home one more time against the still-undefeated Algonquin Wolves this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Colts will have the chance for redemption after dropping their first game of the season last weekend. They will need to show resilience to fight the Wolves, who come to the Colts Home to defend their record.

The Colts struggled to get anything going last weekend against the Georgian Grizzlies. They were not able to show the same type of volleyball they had been performing in the season to date. Now, they will have the chance to get back on track and start a new streak. Despite the performance last game, the Colts middle blocker, Pablo Alvarez, said the practices were very intense throughout the week, and they will be looking to bring that energy to the game. "We had a great week. That game is past us now, and we will not think about anything else," completed Alvarez.

On the other side of the court, the Algonquin Wolves have not lost a game yet and are currently sitting second, right above the Colts, who are third. They have performed well so far in the league, and with a spread offence, they challenge every team they play. It will be a great game in which four of the top five players in hitting percentage appear: on the Wolves side, we have Jeff Commerford and Mahmoud Abdelaziz, and on the Colts Side, we have Lio Salazar and Pedro Casellatto.

With the Colts looking to get back on the winning streak and the Wolves trying to continue their undefeated record, this game will be a true volleyball show. We hope the Colts are able to get past their last result and focus on the long season they have ahead of them.
