Coach Mullings Steps Down as HC for Women's Basketball

Dear Colts Community,

It is with mixed emotions that we announce Coach Naomi Mullings' decision to step down as the Women's Basketball Head Coach. Since joining us in 2021, Coach Mullings has been an integral part of our community, particularly in revitalizing our Women's basketball program following the challenges posed by COVID-19.

Coach Mullings' departure leaves a void in our program, but we are immensely proud of the effort she has invested in building it to its current stature. Her dedication and passion for the sport of basketball and women's sports have been evident in every practice, game, and interaction with our players.

As Coach Mullings transitions into her new full-time role within Centennial College's recruitment department, her main portfolio focuses on domestic student-athlete recruitment. We are grateful to have a Colt working within this vital framework. She brings untapped potential to the department and will be an excellent ambassador for the Colts community and future generations of student-athletes.

During her tenure, Coach Mullings demonstrated her coaching prowess by leading the Colts to the cross-over playoff game for three consecutive years, showcasing the team's hard work and dedication. Moreover, her mentorship of our athletes yielded remarkable results, with several players earning prestigious accolades such as the OCAA Rookie of the Year, OCAA East Division All-Star, OCAA first-team all-star, League scoring champion, and CCAA All-Canadian. Additionally, Coach Mullings facilitated one of her players' participation in EuroBasket, Europe's preeminent women's basketball competition. These collective achievements stand as a testament to Coach Mullings' exceptional guidance and leadership.

As we bid farewell to Coach Mullings in her role as Women's Basketball Head Coach, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her contributions to our community and wish her the very best in her future endeavours. Our search for a new Head Coach will begin imminently.
