Colts Battle Surge in Kingston

Colts Battle Surge in Kingston

By: Jack Middleton

Centennial's Men's Basketball team makes a trip to Kingston to take on the St. Lawrence Surge on Friday night.

Last time these two teams met was back in November in Scarborough when the Colts beat the Surge 107-48.  Look for much of the same as the powerhouse Colts are pushing for 2nd spot in the division amongst some of the OCAA best.

Players to Watch

For the Colts, watch out for two players. Deandre Goulbourne put up a career high 42 points and 8 rebounds in these two teams last matchup. Look for Goulbourne to try and continue his hot streak against the Surge.  Also, watch for Husam Shallo. Coming off his first selection as an OCAA Athlete of the Week, Shallo is averaging 8 points a game while averaging 3 assists per game.  Shall is someone to watch for if the Colts look to win on Friday.

For the Surge, Brian Johnson-Lennord has been leading the team offensively.  Averaging just shy of 14 points per game, he has been the steadiest player for the Surge and they need to work their offense through Johnson-Lennord if they plan on putting up a fight against the Colts.

Game time from the Kingston Campus Gymnasium is 8PM.
