The Centennial Men's basketball team will host their first round matchup against the Fanshawe Falcons on Sunday February 18.
After falling to George Brown 85-84 to close out the regular season, the Colts dropped all the way to 4th in the East division placing them in the 4 vs 5 against the Fanshawe Falcons. The Colts finished the season 13-5 while battling very well only losing to higher seeded teams in the East. For the Falcons, they finish 11-7 in a very tight West Division.
The Colts have played very well throughout the season, being backed by a high firepower offense that ranks first in the East Division. Centennial has been evenly spread out on offence with two standouts. Tavonn Mars-Buckley and Deandre Goulbourne have led the way scoring 17.4 and 18.6 respectively.
For the Falcons, they are led by Aidan Whalen. Averaging 16.7 points and shooting nearly 50% from the field, the Colts need to find a way to keep Whalen off the ball if they plan on moving to the quarter finals.
Game time from the Athletic and Wellness Centre is 5PM.
