Top Four Battle Between Colts and Lords Could Decide OCAA Lead

The Centennial Men's Soccer team is looking for redemption after a tough loss to the Cambrian Golden Shield. With that game behind them, their focus now shifts to this Wednesday at 8:15 p.m., when they take on the Durham Lords at home, aiming to reclaim the top spot in the standings.

This is a crucial match for the Colts as they remain in the hunt for the east division lead. Despite a strong overall performance last game, a last-minute goal ended their unbeaten streak. Rather than dwell on the setback, the Colts are determined to learn from it. To stay at the top, consistency is key, and the team knows that every game is an opportunity to sharpen their skills and push forward.

First-year player and team captain Brian Alvarez Pereyra emphasized the importance of resilience: "One loss doesn't define us as a team, but how we respond to it does," the centre-back said. "At the start of the season, we set clear goals and values, and during moments like this, we stick to those. We'll stay humble and disciplined to achieve our ultimate goal."

The Durham Lords, sitting in fourth place, are also fighting for playoff positioning. A win would give them a cushion over fifth-place St. Lawrence Surge and keep their hopes alive for hosting an opening playoff match. This is their chance to move closer to the top three and boost their season outlook.

Come out to support the Colts as they battle for the OCAA lead. The game will kick off after the women's match concludes. If you can't attend, catch the live stream on COLTSNET's YouTube channel.
