The Centennial Colts men's volleyball team continues to add more talent and depth ahead of the 2020/2021 season.

Head coach Adriana Bento and the Colts are proud to introduce Lyam Krapp as their new left side.

Krapp has acquired a comprehensive background in volleyball that dates back to high school. The Markham, Ont., native represented Bill Crothers Secondary School in all four years of his high school career.

His experience could also be linked to the Ontario Volleyball Association where he spent six years on the court and on the beach.

Having won a indoor national title and several provincial medals in both indoor and beach volleyball, Krapp describes his playing style as "aggressive," and hopes to bring the Colts success with his serve.

Krapp's beach volleyball acumen has also made his defensive game "more controlled," and "improved," his tracking abilities.

With an impressive resume, Krapp told the Centennial Colts Media staff he would like to "practice and compete with the team at the highest possible level."

His main goal for the 2020/2021 season: "To help the team improve on last year's results and qualify for the OCAA men's volleyball championship.

The Colts finished eighth in the OCAA East last season after posting a 5-13 record during the regular season. Centennial, which lost left side Marvin Reid and middles Edvaldo Hire and Jordan Nnabuogor due to graduation, then fell to the Humber Hawks in the Crossover Match.
