Colts Men's Volleyball heads to the Den to battle the Grizzlies tonight in a rematch of the two top teams from the OCAA East Division. While the Colts are out of contention to lock up the 1 seed after losing to Loyalist and Algonquin, this is a pivotal battle as the Grizzlies will look to get their revenge. In their first meeting, the Colts pulled off a thrilling 5-set victory to take first place. Key defensive plays by Pedro Casellatto and AJ Thuraisinhgam kept the Colts alive swinging momentum to the Colts home crowd who helped power the Colts to victory in the fifth and final set.

Since that game, the Grizzlies have ripped off nine straight wins, currently, the best streak across the OCAA after the Humber Hawks fell to the Fanshawe Falcons. The Colts on the other hand have had some ups and downs. Since the graduation of their leading scorer, Gianluca Righetto, the Colts, a very young squad have had to find scoring from others. They are still 7-2 since facing the Grizzlies, but they could have easily been 8 and 1 had they not dropped a regrettable game to the Wolves after going up 2-0 before dealing with the reverse sweep. But it's a good lesson for a young team as they prepare for the playoffs where they are almost certainly going to hold the 2nd seed as they hold the tie-break over 3rd place Canadore, who they defeated last week in 5 sets.
