Colts to Host League-leading Lords this Weekend

By: Jordan Stoddart

SCARBOROUGH – The Centennial Colts women’s volleyball team has not smelled victory since October 26, while the Durham Lords have not faced defeat in OCAA play this season. The Colts (2-3) look to be the first team to knock off a strong Lords side.

The Lords (7-0) have received contributions from Mia Hildebrandt, who leads the OCAA in hitting percentage (.438), Amanda Larsen is second in the OCAA for total blocks (20) and third in blocks per set (0.91), and Brooke Young is third in the OCAA with 132 assists and fourth with 7.33 assists per set.

This will be the first of two straight home games for the Colts, as they battle the Canadore Panthers on October 27. The Colts have not won a set since their second win of the season against the Georgian Grizzlies last month.

The game between the Colts and Lords will be at 1 pm at Centennial College on the Progress campus.
