Last Road Trip for Colts

Last Road Trip for Colts

By: Pedro Casellatto

After a breathtaking win against the George Brown Huskies, the Centennial Women's Volleyball team is back on the road. This week, they will be going to Belleville to face the strong Loyalist Lancers this Wednesday at 6 p.m., who are currently holding their spot in the top three.

The Colts are coming off a reassuring win in the Toronto dispute against the Huskies and will be using this momentum to fight the Lancers once more. In the first game between these two teams, the Colts were able to get the win in the fifth after almost two and a half hours of volleyball. This time, they will be looking to repeat the result and bring another win home in order to secure fifth place.

The first game was also very energetic. Two sets down, the Colts were able to bounce back and win the last three sets of the game. The middles, Cl Viloria on the Colts' side and Alyssa Diemert on the Lancers' side, were very effective and turned the game into a true battle. We expect these players to be just as effective as they help their teams add another victory to the record.

The Lancers have had a great season, especially when compared to last year. Additions to the squad, such as Allyson Terwillegar and Georgi Williams, have given the Lancers a different look. They are currently sitting in third, working on their last opportunity to become second in the league, and to do so, they need to win both of their games.

It will surely be a great game, and both teams will bring their best energy and intensity. We hope the Colts can use the momentum to get a better look for the playoffs, as they have the chance to host the first game.
