Aurora, ON - The Colts survived the do or die game against the Fanshawe Falcons by a score of 6-3.
The Colts lead by Captain Josh Savoie would control the game from start to finish. In the first inning, a walk by Liam Oates would bring in the first run of the game. The Falcons would answer back on a solo homerun by OCAA regular season homerun leader, Riley Wheeler. In the second inning, Josh Savoie would double, scoring Luke Ciavoliello and Riley Briggs to take a 3-1 lead. In the fourth, a single by Savoie would score Ciavoliello again to make it 4-1 Colts. The Falcons would answer back in the bottom of the fourth scoring one but Josh Savoie would double again scoring Riley Briggs and Owen Nichols, making it 6-2. The Falcons would muster 1 run in the final 2 innings but that's all they could get as the Colts would win the elimination game 6-3.
Player of the game award goes to Josh Savoie as he went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs.
On the mound Keito Shimabukuro went 7 innings giving up 7 hits, while striking out 3.
Colts move on to play the top-seeded St. Clair Saints at 9AM on Friday.
