Colts and Grizzlies Battle to Get Back in the Win Column

Another home game for the Centennial Women's Volleyball team means another chance to return to a winning streak. This time, they will take on the Georgian Grizzlies at the Progress Campus Athletics & Recreation Centre at 6:00 p.m.

When playing in front of their home crowd, the team has been successful in two out of the three games they've played at home. They defeated the Canadore Panthers and the Durham Lords, two established teams in the division. Now, they're counting on their fans to extend the home winning streak to three and regain the momentum that was interrupted last week against the George Brown Huskies.

First-year outside hitter Grace Dockstator mentioned that this game would be a good opportunity for the team to work on their structure and intensity. "Maintaining full focus on what's happening on the court and ensuring we are dialled in at all times will be key factors, not only for this game but for the rest of the season," said Dockstator.

The Grizzlies have struggled to find a good rhythm this season. With only one win against the Fleming Phoenix, they see this game as a chance to build momentum and end their losing streak. It's also an opportunity for them to address their errors and work toward a smoother game.

As hosts, the Colts have found success, but there are still areas for improvement. The ongoing changes in the lineup have prevented the team from finding a steady rhythm, leading to numerous errors throughout each set they've played. Despite this, their hard work has been consistent, and the team seems motivated to give this season a positive turn.

Come to the AWC at Progress Campus to support our team as they strive to add another win to their record. If you can't make it, catch the COLTSNET live stream on YouTube.
